The Great War - 1914-1918 - Man, Arms and Peace
6 circuits in Mons, Le Cateau and Cambrai that follow the traces of the Great War.
This was where the first battles of the war took place and would also be the scene of the last fighting of the conflict. Meanwhile, for civilians, 4 years of occupation left its mark on the populations of entire towns.
The themed circuits cover the different sites and rekindle memories that have often been lost in the mists of time.

An angel returns to visit the symbolic sites and travels between the past and the present to help the visitor understand historical events.
Who still remembers all those soldiers and civilians who today are just names on plaques and monuments that no-one stops to look at any more? Who better than the guardian angel of their memory…?
